An incredible few days! We are absolutely thrilled to have connected with so many industry leaders, partners, and innovators dedicated to the global energy transition. The year 2025 is pivotal for Taiwan’s energy landscape, marking significant strategic shifts and evolving market demands, which made our discussions more critical than ever.
- Government Strategy: Taiwan’s energy policy remains focused on the principles of “expanding green energy, increasing gas, reducing coal, and achieving a nuclear-free status.” The government is actively promoting renewable energy to meet growing industrial demands, particularly from the AI and semiconductor sectors.
- Energy Trends: The energy transition is accelerating. The government aims to increase the proportion of renewable energy and rely more heavily on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to ensure a stable night-time power supply. This intermittency makes Energy Storage Systems (ESS) more crucial than ever for grid stability.
- ESS Market Dynamics (2024 vs. 2025): Despite a short-term oversupply of ancillary services in 2024, the market focus in 2025 is shifting toward long-term resilience. The government’s 1.5 GW ESS target is driving greater market attention toward Front-of-the-Meter (FTM) and large-scale Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Behind-the-Meter (BTM) solutions, prioritizing renewable energy capacity firming.
Thank you to everyone who visited the booth (I1015) to explore the critical future of energy storage and sustainability with us, and to see how we are achieving our mission through flexible and resilient energy solutions!
